Dr. Shalini Kapoor received her clinical doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine, Portland, OR and completed a clinical residency and further training in Homeopathy in India. Dr. Louisa Williams, DC, ND and Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD are among her mentors who have greatly influenced her philosophy, treatment and diagnostic tools. Over the years, she has studied Ayurvedic medicine under some very learned masters in India and she routinely combines this knowledge in her integrative practice.
Dr. Kapoor received her masters in public health (MPH) from Yale University. She completed her thesis work in the remote tribal districts of Kwazulu Natal in South Africa working with children and their caregivers affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. For this work she received the deans prize for outstanding thesis at Yale University.
Her undergraduate work at Coe College focussed on molecular biology and physics. In her junior year in college, she did a research fellowship at Mayo clinic in the department of Urology completing her thesis on her work on prostate cancer.
She uses a integrative approach judiciously combining conventional, Naturopathic, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medicine for both acute and chronic conditions tailored to the unique needs of those seeking her care. Her emphasis is to provide immediate and effective symptomatic relief while always focusing on diagnosing and correcting the multi-system imbalance at the core dysfunction of most chronic conditions.
Dr. Kapoor believes that illness, pain or discomfort you’ve been living with does not have to continue. With your involvement she is dedicated to making every effort to understand what lies at the root of your symptoms and create a personalized wellness plan to return your body to its natural, healthy rhythm.
